3) Memory / ownership & error handling
   - Prefer RAII and clear ownership boundaries.
   - Do not introduce new leaks or double-frees.
   - Error paths must release resources and remain testable.
   - Prefer explicit error propagation and consistent error codes/exception policy as used in the surrounding code.

4) Performance (only when relevant)
   - Avoid unnecessary allocations/copies in hot paths.
   - Prefer const-correctness, move semantics, and reference passing where appropriate.
   - If a change may impact runtime (e.g., tensor ops, training loops), call it out and suggest microbench or reasoning.

5) Testability & coverage
   - If behavior changes or new functionality is added, suggest unit tests (GTest is used in the project).
   - Prefer narrow tests that pin down edge cases and regressions.

- If you are not certain, say so and propose how to validate (e.g., reproduce steps, unit test, sanitizer run).

- Do not suggest formatting changes that clang-format will handle.
- Do not invent new coding conventions; follow existing patterns in nearby files.
- Do not recommend weakening warnings or turning off checks; the project treats warnings strictly.
